Default WRX PPP Upgrade, how many mpg do you get?

Considering it for my MY03 WRX, can anyone tell me how much difference in fuel consumption it makes, i.e real world driving as opposed to manufacturers stats?
At present, on a good week, Im getting 20.7 mpg at the moment.

05 wrx ppp, average (daily driver, including motorway miles etc., covered 45000 miles in two years):

Pre-PPP (0 - 10K) 24.7 mpg average
Post-PPP (10k - 45k) 24.6 mpg average

Could have a point there... I only used to get 26mpg from my old Vectra SRi (2.2)

In my 04 WRX non-ppp, I only get 18/19mpg That's lots of short trips for you!

MY05 WRX + PPP: No change in MPG, about 20-22MPG with mixed driving (70% stop-start and 30% having a bit of fun).

I've just had my MY01 bugeye wagon remapped (Tek3) and I'm getting around 27-28 mpg (70% motorway).

MY03WRX with 330bhp

Just checked my mpg and I get between 21-23mpg which includes giving it a lot of stick.

After I had my PPP on my MY05 WRX wagon I was down to mid teens round town, early 20's on the motorway and early teens late 10's on a thrash.

Had Tek 3 now and the difference is MASSIVE. More power more responsive and uses less fuel reckon I'd be up near 30 mpg on a run and as above got 330 bhp!!!

MY03 WRX PPP 27MPG on the Motorway 20+/- everywhere else depending on how much booting I feel like doing. I would worry more about the £1000+ you are wasting on the PPP before the fuel economy. Have you bought extra warranty for your MY03 ? Much cheaper/better ways of improving a MY03 WRX

Exactly - look at Tek3 map with downpipe, green filter and H&S back box. Will give you the same results (or slightly better) for a lot less £££.

On my 03 WRX after it was mapped by Richard Bulmar to 270 bhp, i was getting 27 mpg, dropping to low 20's if it was booted a lot.
I have since changed the spec again, mapped by Richard again, and now for approx. 340 bhp i am getting 25 mpg and obviously lower when booted a lot.
As the weather is now ****e i never seem to get much daylight to drive much around the local twisties, so its at the 25 mpg mark lately.
Suffice to say, any bog standard car if mapped would return more mpg than it leaves the factory with, simply as it is being mapped for that car alone and not just a generic map. I guess the standard map runs very rich up the revs i would guess, erring to the side of safety possibly???
