Default Subaru Warranty

I've just bought a 2 and a half year old WRX which is a European parallel import and I presumed that there would be a 3 year manufacturers warranty with this. I called and asked Robinsons today and they said that as the car is an import there is no warranty with it....? Is this true?

If I should have a warranty with this car, would it cover the front suspension (lower/rear??) bushes - as mine are goosed and the car is wandering all over the road

ive bought 2 parallel imports, they do have warranty but you will find that the warranty usually starts perhaps upto 6 months before the original uk non franchised dealer sells the car. therefore you might lose some warranty.

as far as robinsons are concerned i can tell u the owner will chase u off his premises with an axe if you utter import.

try prosport if you need help.

im(subaru uk) might be worth a call give them your chassis no they will hopefully put u straight with regard too your warranty period.

regards

Where did you buy it from?

If it was from a dealer bby law it must carry a warranty of some sort.

Private sale... I just presumed that the 3 year manufacturers warranty would stand.

If Subaru want to be awkward, they may ask you for the original proof of first registration in the country of origin. You may have this, if the car came from a reputable UK dealer/importer or maybe not if it came from Motorpoint or someone similar. If you don't have it then the original dealer in Cyprus or wherever it came from will be able to supply it, but this could prove difficult given language problems etc. Good luck!

I think this will do mate. I've spoke to the warranty dept myself previously, and this is exactly what they wanted.
