Default Prodrive Performance Packs?????

As mentioned in my other post, on the lookout for an STI and will hopefully get one with a PPP. If not I might get one fitted later. Can they only be purchased & fitted by a subaru dealer or can you get them from independents? Are they a set price or do dealers do discounts? If you can get them from independents will they still come with a certificate?

Does the PPP makea big improvement over a standard STI?

Had my car ppp'd earlier this year and yes its a big improvement.
Only main dealers can fit it and discounts depend on each dealer i would guess. Mine cost 1800 quid.
You can by the bits of ebay but you wont get a certificate as each one is specific to a particular car.

I hardly think it is pi** poor but there are cheaper ways i admit.
However, under warranty its the only option.

Want to go PPP route purely for warranty and resale.

Was thinking of getting the PPP done on my MY05 STI so emailed seven or eight Subaru dealers in Scotland as I was working and only three could be bothered to get back to me.The best price being £1895 a discount of £100.Not going to bother now - will probably change the car this time next year and if I do keep it will get a remap, fuel pump and catted downpipe for about £1200 and the warranty will be expired anyway.
