Yep, should be CAT1 (assuming it is a UK car)

I am happy with mine.

Haven't heard of many people changing it.

If its CAT1 (which I know mine is (MY03STi) then it has to be to a minimum standard.

I thought that might be the reason, but i thought the piece-of-mind outways that. (From a fellow BJ owner)

I forget about it almost every time i take it out.

Thats ok but what if your car gets taken with the keys the sigma cat 1 on the key is no use once they press the button
I have got both on my03sti and a blackjack, its a pain in the ar$e but its added security. Think about it seriously

I am a care assistant and in and out of my care probably 8-10 times in three hours now thats a pain in the ar$e, but mine got stolen with the keys therefore the alarm was useless, i don't have to turn my engine off everytime i open a door, i just re-enter the code with the engine running
Sorry i think you are making a hue mistake, but it's your choice.

No convincing needed here. I think it is excellent, a pain sometimes yes, but excellent. Gives good piece of mind.

You don't have to turn the engine off, just re-enter the pin.

No such thing IMHO

You'll be fine with the standard alarm. Its based on a sigma M30 which I've had in a few cars and not so much as 1 false alarm.

Had 3 cars with cliffords and not 1 of them was any good.

Next time you're in a car park and you hear an alarm go off 9 times out of 10 it'll be a clifford. I never take any notice of 1 so why would anyone else. Perfect for breaking into then

All cliffords are toss, stick to what the manufacturer decided on. After all, its good enough for your insurance co, why shouldn't it be good enough for you???

I had a clifford alarm in my mini years back, it was also utter toss.

A pattern forming here.

I was advised that if i wanted a gimmick alarm with lots of gizmo's then get a clifford, if i wanted an alarm to be an alarm then get the sigma.
