Default First service question on a useed Impreza

I'm helping a mate who wants an impreza, so I want him to get a good one.

A Main Dealer if offering a very low milage Impreza which is a year old but hasn't done enough miles to have the 1000 mile oil change. I thought that there was a time limit to have this done aswell as the miles?

Dealer reckons to do the year service which is due and the 1000 won't matter.
I also prompted the annual body inspection to be done to keep the full warranty - Dealer reckons no underseal applied to UK cars these days.

Ok a salesman, but how fishy is this?

Which dealer, have a look at his stock on the website Home | Subaru (UK) Ltd.

May shed some light

Yeah, I've found the car.

I was wondering about the warranty issue as the car is a year old, has only done 300 miles and hasn't had a service.

it dont matter about the 1000 mile service as long as the mileage is still under that its all about the oil in the car they use a diff oil for the first 1000 miles to what you would use for the other 9000 or first 12 months

the car has to be serviced after 12 months or 10000 miles which ever comes first i had my05 sti's 12 month service with only 6500 miles on

I have just got my self an 04 WR1 with only 2400 miles on the clock, after getting the car home and taking it to a Subaru Main Dealer for a service i was told then that it had no warranty what so ever with Subaru UK as it had never been serviced,so that has left me with a great car but if it dose go bang i am on my own.

The 3 years must nearly be up anyway, however i am sure they had to have a oil change every 4,000 miles anyway, i would like to think with that low milage Subaru UK would help out if something major did go!!!!, 2,500 miles in 3 years that must be a mint motor.
