Deciding time
At 12.00pm today (Sunday) I have 2 test drives. 1st is in an 06 STIUK . The second is a 54 plate STI UK (with PPP).
I have been looking to change my 330 bm for a while. Had an S2000 for a year before and am now looking to 'enjoy driving' again.
A previous post has asked (kind of) if there is any point in buying the PPP rather than a standard STI -then modding it?.........................
What I want to know is....whats going to be the best car for me. Should I go for a newer STI or should I go for the older PPP? Is the older (with PPP) that much more fun?

The extra torque from the 2.5 in the 06 car makes up for some of the PPP enhancements in the older model, but you could also fit the PPP to the 06 car later. The PPP really does transform a Scoob, whether it's a WRX or STi, whilst retaining the warranty which would be lost with any other aftermarket tuning. They are really worthwhile, but my choice would be a JDM car. Better in every way.
Drive them both and make up your own mind, but my advice would be to also drive a JDM car before parting with your wad.

Thanks for the info. If I go for the newer car then I am going to ask the dealer for the PPP. If I'm honest I am looking for someone to tell me the difference between the 54 car with PPP and the newer car (with PPP also)?
I have read a few reports saying that the latest car is a bit too 'soft' (probably the wrong word for people who have never been in a proper car in the first place).
I will get an idea tomorrow, but it's still a good idea to get the views of people who have been involved with the cars for a long time....
