hi m8,you dont need trackers on scoobs, just depends who you insure with, most companys are happy with cat1s,and as your aware the subaru standard alarm/immo are a thatcham cat1.depending on year of your car...

Default tracker

Tracker's are great idea! ,my Subaru broke down yesterday and whilst towing it back the tracker company called me and asked if my car had been stolen. This was within ten mins of us moving the car without the engine running. I have heard that Audi dealers fit trackers and also Subaru dealers can get hold of them.

Cheers

if you shop around you can get insured without tracker, Admiral done it for me.

The reason I shopped around is because I didnt want a tracker fitting basically due to the fact that if my pride and joy (EVO VIII MR FQ-320) was ever stollen.........I wouldn't want them to return it.................see what I mean, getting a car back with unknown damage which has been abused by some little tw*t!!!!

I'm sure not many people on here would want a stolen car recovered either

insurance without a tracker is perfectly possible but many of the mainstream insurers insist. The saving in insurance cost is more than lost by cost of the tracker and as has been mentioned if some ****** has nicked it how much do you want your Scoob back?

Change insurers if I were you

mine was 350 fitted for rac trakstar plus. you could get insurance without it but it was 70 quid more expensive and they couldn't gie me no claims protection.

What Car have you got most will have one but some not activated ?? if a UK model 95% will already have it fitted JDM's about 50% fitted. Nearly all just imported will have none fitted IIRC IMHO

Ring RAC or Tracker with Reg and you may even save some pennies.

and you'd just need new battery fitted and register it about £150 IIRC.

95% UK cars already have one fitted??? I must have one of the 5% then. WRX doesn't have them as standard - does the STi?

Personally would buy a tracker as I don't want the car back if it's nicked.

I use Elephant for insurance and no tracker required.

Just checked Subaru website - STi has them as standard, WRX not. This is the MY07's anyway.
