......for my insurance. I am doing the dreaded ring around on Friday and was just thinking it would be interesting to see who gets the closest to my cheapest quote. I am 19, 1yr NCB, clean liscense. The car will be a 94 UK spec Impreza turbo, valued at £8k. It will be garaged with a Warrington postcode and the annual mileage will be 8k. The winner gets a special prize!

Adam - you make a good point! The fabulous prize has now had to be withdrawn. So far the predictions aren't too bad. Keep them coming though!

Phil,

I'm 29, UK turbo no mods (yet) insured for 15K (when I bought it), live on the Wirral with a CH postcode, full NCB, clean license, garaged aswell, £1700. Sorry to say I think yours will be a real nasty figure.

Save your pennies m8 and put a policy on your Chritmas list.

I pay just over £1000 for a P1, but I'm the wrong side of 30 with full NCB.

You've got to be looking at about £1900.

But I hope it's a lot lower....

I am 25 in WA5 as well and my insurance is just shy of a grand.
Thats with greenlight who seem to be knowledgeable. They also give a discount if you have previously driven something else quick.

Lets have a Warrington meet sometime soon.

If it is a UK car and you are 20, I would guess that the ins would be about £2k or just under.......

Security/Tracker will bring the price down, however most insurers will now ask that this stuff is in place before even giveing you a quote.

Try Greenlight.

My brother is 22 and got a top quote from them for a similar car, but well modded, of £1200. Can't find their number just now, but I'll look for it.

The AA quoted him £8000!!!!

Get all those final predictions in! The results will be published on this board when I have recovered from the shock and had ample time to lie down in a darkened room!

Got a quote, £3400 from Tesco, went out, guy in a Citreon decided against stopping when he saw my stationary vehicle in front of him. The result was a collison, rear end damage and me in casualty with whip lash. Hence, plans are on hold whilst I sort this mess out.
