Can anyone tell me
I have been asked if HID lights come as standard in an STi... I hanen't got a clue.
I have had Xennon ones put in my 03 STi, are these different to the origional ones other than being loads brighter.
No sarky comments please, i am female and not into all this technical stuff.

On the newer ones they have HID (Xenon) lights standard
2007 Model Year Impreza WRX STI Type UK and 2006 spec D sti (off Subaru website)
maybe from 2005 on they are standard not sure

HID's are standard on the JDM STi's from 2001 on. The JDM Spec C does not have HID's - maybe to save that extra few grammes !!!
No UK STi's had HID's as standard until the 2006 Hawkeye models arrived.
A JDM HID light is a very pure bright white colour, whereas all aftermarket HID kits I've seen are blue going on purple
