Default Black Blobeye STI paint problem?

Does anyone own a black (obsidian) Blobeye STI?

Are you having problems with the paintwork - is it well....fading quickly or has the owner of the particular one I am looking at just never spent any tlc on it (it's an 05' plate)?

Mine

I have had no problems with the colour but I like to polish.
When I got the car it was obviously looked after by the previous owner to some degree, but after a good polish and few layers of decent wax it really brought out that deep shine.
I am sure the one you are looking at will probably just require some work on the paint to bring it back to it's former glory. Nothing a bit of elbow grease won't sort out.

Finish is not as good as my VW but no hint of fade. Maybe over PC'd rather than lack of care ? Mine is MY03 WRX, same paint code though.

SWISSOL (although I think I am right in saying the name has now changed )

Pricey but I have got fantastic results so was worth the money in my opinion.

Lots of other cheaper options around with also very good results. Take a look in the Car Care section.

Detailing World - A world for detailers by detailers.

Depending on where you are in the UK it is also worth employing a professional detailer who can take paint readings and recomend a course of action. Get yourself onto detailing world, loads of information on there, in fact I'm on there now
