Default PPP concerns?

I've got an EU import spec D 2.5 sti, I've fitted a prodrive rear and centre box already that was off a mates 2.0 04 scooby but otherwise unmodded. went to bell and coleville today for a drive in the full ppp sti before shelling out for the full kit. I drove it and it felt slower and was quieter than mine.

my car has 5000 miles on it, the demo had 1000 miles on it, I then took the salesman up the road in mine to make sure it's not just me getting the wrong impression. The sales guy agreed that mine felt faster and was louder, and therefore I didn't buy the ppp.

he couldn't explain why it was slower neither could I, unless they have a friday afternoon car. i guess there is no way of telling if mine would be quicker with ppp or not, but I was all psyched up to lay out my cash on ppp, and after today, i'm not going to bother. I guess there is no way to tell if their demo is not running right.

The answer is in the first post the demo is still very tight as its only done 1000 miles and yours is much looser as its done 5000 miles so if you ppp yours it will be even faster than it is now.

more i think about it the more I am sure theirs must be some how not right. but i thought new exhausts are louder than ones that are full of soot? and the spec D is supposed to have more sound proofing, I've done a fair bit of reading on here about it, and was expecting to feel at least some improvement, but definately slower, ok tight engine but 315 bhp vrs 280 and how can mine be louder?
might try another demo from another garage, but phoned up mkg in twickenham said i was interested in buying ppp, could I have a go in the demo, was told maybe through the week but weekends are reserved for people interested in buying cars! hmmm ok i'll take my £1,700 else where mate.
