Ruining Special Editions.
I've got a thread going in Was It You about an RB5 I spotted today in Bridlington absolutely trashed with stickers and ill-conceived styling mods. I've just been called a troll because of my concern. Now, I don't like styling mods on scoobs anyway, but I suppose it really is the choice of the owner whether to have them. But special editions are different, aren't they? Their value above book price for an ordinary scoob depends upon keeping them pristine and as authentic as possible, I would have thought.
Opinions, please.

Totally agree. Special Editions should be kept standard, or modded with offical Prodrive/Subaru accessories. Well I would anyway.

Special editions should not be changed with stickers and body mods.
I have to admit to fitting a P1 splitter to my type R but thats as far as I would take it.

I agree, but the RB5 is still only a grey UK turbo with a set of speedline wheels and slightly different seats anyway.

With scooby matt on this one. Yes there are a few good bits, but would i pay a premium over a uk - not on your nellie. This goes for any other "special edition" bar the likes of the 22B which do have sommat worth paying for

Mr Fudpuckers RB5 had a fair few tweeks and was IMO the best RB5 out there

I agree with the 'ethos' of the thread. ANY special editions regardless of their Marque should be as is 'god intended' as it were..nothing worse than seeing ANY motor with the now *obligatory* shopping list on the doors or plastered in stickers . Only stickers I ever have on any of my cars are the tax disc holder and one of my cars has a 'rally pedigree' therefore has a sticker from the manafacturers denoting this on the rear screen

lol... Clearly not standard.
I'm a firm believer that limited editions stay limited just as nature intended.
No mods on my RB5 and no mods planned for my RB320.

Not my cup of tea TBH, but like you say, each to their own
