No chace......
you wont get a better motor than your scooby for acceleration, adenelin etc...
if you get the cossie within 3 months you will be scooby hunting again wondering why you bothered doubting your mint previous scooby....
DONT DO IT!

Don't do it mate, cossies are way past it.
The build quality is crap on them an very poor reliability.
Also I didn't know "H" reg ones were available, I thought the came out in "K" registrations onwards
Either way I wouldn't bother with it.

I'm talking sierra mate not escort (i wish)

Ah right, thought you were talking Escort mate.
Sierra Cossies, don't know much about them really. I had a mate who had an Escort Cossie for a short while and he had many problems with it. He ended up getting rid of it and bought himself a Lancer Evo 6.
I suspect Sierra's would have the same problems as the Escort's.
Stick to the Scoob.

it is a true classic, but with classic cars come classic problems. If it is rear wheel drive it will be great fun but a little dangerous. Give it a good hours drive if you can and avoid getting sucked in by the obvious power advantage. Get a feel for the everyday car underneath because thats what you have to live with. They are a good car though!

its funny 'cos i think that a sierra is a bloody ugly motor and wouldn't consider any other model it just a thing i have for the cosworth and nothing looks better than one on full aceleration when the rear end squats ( maybe i'm a cossie perv

hi m8 fortunately i own a cos and a scooby ! have a 2wd cos which i have owned for 10 years its running 360 bhp. and just recently bought a wrx classic import roughly 300 bhp ! i think head 2 head scooby prob edge it but would be very close but my cos has more top end power. for me now scooby has better looks and the engine noise sounds amazing but reliability running costs still have 2 be proved 2 me as i said only just recently bought a scooby ! i would say until you have owned both you wouldnt really know and they would both keep you smiling and wasting most cars on the road ! scooby lot easier 2 handle 2wd cossies need respect if running decent bhp 4wd cossies not sure most prob no diff 2 a scooby ! but if i want real power i get my zx7r ninja out 2 play !

i presonally dont know much about them but am8 of mine had one from new and owned it for 8yrs and spent near 50k on it, lost count how many engine build/engines he went through, imo i dont think the engines on them are very strong as ive seen a few running good bhp and they,ve not lasted long. If it was the escort then i would think fack it, ill ave it anyway lol.

i know, i wouldnt never own a cossie, never like them and prob never will and look very out dated but thats my opinion, if you think its right then go for it or at least take it for a test drive and get it well checked over and you might have a better idea of what to do.

Car looks nice in Piccie.
Hate to say this, Neil Kinnock had a Sierra and, I think "Phoney Tony."
Escort Cossie was brilliant, my mate had one.
Don't know what it is about the Sierra??
Good luck anyway.
Scoob is best.
