I had a 'phone call from the Police this lunchtime! The officer that called me had seen my advert for my BMW in the Autotrader. He was just warning me of a couple of Asian gents who are targetting cars like mine and stealing them on test drives! 
Just thought it was nice of him to make me aware. Could well save somebody's bacon (no pun intended)

Yep - it was in the Evening Telegraph a couple of weeks ago - some bloke in Earlsdon got huis car robbed after he let them test drive it alone - bit silly of him if you ask me.

That was me that had my M3 nicked by two Asian blokes while I was taking them out for a test drive
To be honest I was very disappointed with the police response to the theft - I think they gave up looking before they'd started!! It was advertised for sale four weeks later with the same reg no. and was HPI checked by someone who went to see it!!. They still didn't manage to find it!!
Anyway I've just been paid out by the insurance company.....three months later!

You forgot to mention the warning they gave you for driving 'an obscenely clean car in a built up area' and 'obsesive washing of a car on a Sunday morning'.

99% certain that it was the Police that called.

The Beemer doesn't actually need to be sold, as I have bought an R33 GTR V-Spec from a mate of mine. I can afford to run both, but I'd just be a bit more comfortable if I sell the BM. Would probably have a new Mini Cooper as an everyday car.
