There is no pan European system for fines etc at the moment, but they are working on it.

Johnny Foreigner can drive as fast as he likes on our roads and will almost always get off with a caution or more likely a binned Gatso picture.

If stopped on the continent, we get a stiff fine and may have our car impounded.

I'm sure you can't be banned by a foreign court... Johnny Herbert on his way to French GP last year etc 143mph, got fine, French driver would have got a ban and lost race licence

Hope it works out mate - I have no knowledge here mate, sorry. Will be good for all to find out though. A q for you though -

Was throwing a TT about in Mex city yesterday (as ya do ;-), and the people in the car kept going 'Mas Honda'. I know it was an explanation of enjoyment, but do you know what it means, esp as we were in an Audi! Ahh the lack of draconian traffic laws and big brother always watching was so nice!

Mas honda in spanish means "more sling" in a real word for word translation but in real life means more power ie power to back wheels .....sounds like you kinda understood it anyway

Hasta pronto mi amigo

as said earlier points don't carry across borders, I've just picked up 3 and DM140 fine for 129 in 100 zone here in Germany on my UK licence but they are just held in Flensburg against my name and date of birth and get totted up normally here but not in the UK, nothing on my UK licence. If your transient in most EC countries and you get caught you get an on the spot fine and thats it. They can shaft you by taking you licence in France but it doesn't happen as much as the hype would have you think.
How did they catch you, by jet
Regards
Cammy
