I've bought my first Impreza a couple of months ago: 53 plate WRX 2.0 Turbo PPP. It has 17" alloys at the moment. Can anyone recommend any 18" to upgrade to? And will they make much difference?

welcome along to scooby ownership, great arent they

much difference in what way matt? do you want it to fillthe arches a bit more or what are you looking for? what colour is the car? if i was upgrading to 18s i would be going for the PFF7's, lovely wheel, and also in antracite. I had them in 17's on my classic, and loved them.

and get it lowered a bit, the H&R spring kit isnt expensive and retains the handling of the car. Looks great too

Yes they are pretty special. I'm just getting used to it to be honest. I'm sure it'll be a while before I push it to anywhere near the maximum.

I guess I'm thinking that 18" wheels will get the most from the car in terms of handling and performance. I've already been bitten by the horsepower bug something chronic!

suppse im stuck then matt, ive no problems with handling and performance from my 17s. The only reason i would change to 18s would be for the cosmetic look of it. I would be keeping the 17s though for the strip

Cheers dmc1980. I may take you up on it!

The next question would be where to get any modifications done that's relatively nearby and where I'm not going be taken to the cleaners for it!
