I did 140 mph along a short stretch alongside tower park one day to see what she'd do. Had Davethebee in the car so he can confrim... had to break due to the oncoming roundabout ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Personally, I like the quick accelleration, not the prolonged high speed

Oh my god what a bunch of pc tossers!!!
Did he say how fast have you gone in your scoob on a UK road?
NO
Simple question. It could be anywhere, runway, drag strip, circuit, autobahn.
Surely there must be others with a slight interest?
I have too much sense to do it on the road and havent been on a track yet so I have no real idea of what mine will do. We all know what the book says and seeing as these cars are about as aerodynamic as a brick I'd like to know how power increases affect top speed, even though I have no intention of doing it on the road.
This used to be a place for car enthusiasts instead of a forum full of people trying to prove they are better than others by taking the moral high ground all the time. Why does everyone assume that as soon as someone mentions speed they are talking about driving like a **** on the public road?
Come on, get a grip SN instead of trying to out **** each other!

Just short of 150mph once chasing a SL Brabus Merc on a derestricted part of the Autobahn.
15 minutes later my engine went pop - that'll feckin' teach me to go picking fights with German Hypercars. (2 grand bill)
dont do silly speeds anymore - one, scoobs dont like sustained top speed runs and two - over here i'd like to keep my license ta very much
