Engine Rebuild/replacement???

Engine Rebuild/replacement???
MY 98' uk turbo has just stopped on me. Compression tests claim that there is 30% coming from one side no compression from the other(this is what the garage says?)
As I have 78k on the clock im contemplating what to do??? Does anyone know where I can get good used/refurbed engines from?? Or where I can get my engine rebuilt at a decent price??
If the compression is not right, what could the problems be, as the Scoob dealership garage claim it will take 8 hours+ just to take the engine apart and find the problem?? At £80 an hour+ vat, I dont know if this is such a good idea?Can anyone suggest any ideas for me???

600+ quid just to tell you your engines fooked??? Which you kind of already know!!!!
Phone David at APi tell him Ns04 says hi. He'll give you good advice whether you use APi or not
