Red face Bought something of Ebay and never recieved it!

I bought an item off ebay for my beloved scooby from the ebay nearly 2 months ago..... still haven't recieved it!

No replies to my constant emails....

until I threatend to name and shame them on several forums....

then within minutes I recieved a very threatening email from them (So they do read their email!)

This was over 2 weeks ago and I have still no item or refund.

What would you do?

Cheers, Plums.

File a non-received item complaint to ebay, they will investigate for you. Not sure if you can still do it after 2 months though, there maybe a time limit to file complaints but i'm unsure.

You have 3 months to file a complaint. Lots of work to get it from Ebay because of their procedure. Don't mail the seller any more cos they are obviously just out to scam.

Leave them negative and then get on with the buyer protection programme

Oh, and how did you pay for it? If CC or PayPal go through them as well.

Good luck

You should have filed a "not received" with ebay after 28 days. They would have pursued the matter. It's a bit late now

Just filed the non-recieved now they have 10 days to reply.....

They told me that if I named and shamed on any forum they would see me in court.... how very nice of them.

Cheers for all the support!

Something I overheard on Watchdog was about "not closing the complaint down too early." if the seller says it's on it's way. E-Bay will only investigate once on the sale. Hope you can make some sense from that.

I'd still name and shame them, hopefully they would take me to court, then I could see them outside afterwards for a 'chat' !!

Seriously though,as if they would get anywhere with that in court

Court? Whats that got to do with anything. What ****..........any allegations you have made can be supported by the fact that you haven't received what you paid for.

LMAO!!! They will see you in court? What planet are they living on

They have stolen from you, simple as. They will have NO way to get you in court by you posting any details here. You have evidence that backs up the fact you paid for the goods. Unless they sent said goods with proof of delivery, they don't have a leg to stand on!

What they are trying to do is bully tactics and they know full well that most peeps will be a little cautious about this. There isn't a single thing they can do

Post their Ebay user ID at least as a warning to to others

That is why PayPal and Ebay will always side with the buyer if the seller can't provide proof of postage. I don't always insist on a sig with everything I sell and so far not had any issues

Oh, and so you know, it has to have been Special Delivery or a form of delivery that can be tracked online. Recorded delivery is NOT proof enough

Very true mate which is why I always laugh when ebay users post "seller not responsible for lost packages" Of course they are. Its the sellers responsibility to make sure the items are received which is why I always use recorded/ special delivery on all sales (including the small value ones)

That's what I figured Shaggy!

O.K. no naming and shaming but if you look at what I bought from Australia to replace what I didn't recieve from the U.K.

Then you could call that my first clue!

Second clue maybe later

Cheers,

Plums.

P.S. don't want to give too many clue as I might end up doing time!!!!

Nope.... if you look at what I bought in Australia I think that will help you a little..... the one I ordered in the UK was a cheap £9.99 + £8.00 postage....

Keep trying.....

I have a similar problem with an Austrailian seller for goods I paid for by bank transfer in October. Part of the stuff arrived within a month or so and the remaining parts are still being promised. I originally contacted him through ebay but completed the deal directly with him outside of ebay. Big seller too!
Now ignores my emails etc and the only way Ive been able to get a response is through another ebay account (ask the seller a question ) route about other items he has for sale. I have threatened to expose him on the forums but I reckon he doesent care as he hasent responded !!

What a meaningless bluff. You shouldnt have been put ofrf by such a desperate and feeble responce! Anyway, slander and libel law only shouldnt frighten someone telling the truth...

I was stung by a seller in a similar manner, bought an item for £200 received it, nothing like the description aksed for cash back, no response, filed claim through paypal, they give seller 10 days to respond if nothing you get your cash back, so I ended up with the goods and the cash.

Wait a couple of weeks, let the **** think its all blown over create some duff accounts, bid on a few of his items, wait a couple of weeks more then neg him.

Cheers.
