If You Can't Get Super, Is there a Bottle you can take with you?
A few times when I have been in the sticks, Scotland , Wales, Yorkshire Dales etc.
I have been low on fuel and had to fill up with ordinary Unleaded. The motor is remapped for Super Unleaded.
Seen all the threads for/against super/ordinary.
FOR ME, super is best.
Question, is there a bottle of stuff I can keep in the Boot to boost RON on these occcasions when I get stuck?
If so, what is the best, how much and where can I get some??
Thanks SN people.
KInd regards

May I just borrow the thread to ask a related question please. I have a contact who is doing a long motor Rally, Peking to Paris. He will be driving in weird places at altitude such as across Mongolia and where local fuel can be down to 75 RON. He will need to take booster so which would be the best in those circumstances and what sort of quantity would he need to take per 1000 miles say? It's a thirsty 6.5 litre Bentley so I guess circa 12 mpg on a good day. Is booster fairly safe to cart about? Many thanks. Any observations would be most helpful. dl

So just looking at the stuff, how much would you put in then and how the hell can you measure it? Is the bottle marked to measure it?
Could do with a bottle for when i cant get any V-Power thats for sure, which for where i am can be annoying.
More Shell garages shut around Nottingham now.

I used to measure out the 75mls and put them in empty NF bottles.
This mean't I'd always have a 'shot' to put in when filling up.
Prior to that used to measure it in a small measuring beaker at the pump.
Used to get funny looks
Thick and messy stuff but IMHO NF black is the way to go to aid det prevention in JDM cars, no more then first 2 green LEDS on knocklink on WOT.
Now happily running my UK on V Power alone
Wonder if Pete will comment on the above post
