Decisons, Decisions
Well I have been looking for over 2 months now for standard 03+ STI and don't seem to be able to find one in black or silver that doesn't get sold quickly or has been modded.
Do you think a WRX PPP will be just as good. I have only driven a standard STI/WRX briefly and can only remember that the STI suspension was very stiff.
I am now thinking with a baby on the way and this will be our only car for some time that the STI may be a bit too much and uncomfortable. I only drive 4000 miles a year which means it will really only be driven on weekends.
My previous car was a standard 00 Turbo, which was a great car for everyday use.

I was in a very similar situation as we have a baby on the way and i also wanted a Black or Silver STI.
Ended up just getting a Blue one that came up at the right time at the right price.
I think if you got a WRX you'd forever wish that you'd got the STI.
Just do it...

Bought my STi (PPP in black) 10 days after my little lad was born, no problems at all. Quite comfortable and not harsh at all. I did come from a modded Elise though so most things seem comfortable after that

Be patient, trust me
I am a highly skint, 03 WRX (from new) owner, and the car has been modded to suit my needs! (lol, needs, yeah right).
Buy a STI and get the car right to start with. That way, if you do ever feel like modding it later, you have a sound base on which to work with.
If you keep it standard, then good too, you still have a sound car either way.
I didnt have the money for a STI due to impatience, and have since spent way way more than the difference! LOL.

Definately wait, and the right car will come up.
I was the same,as i didn't want a blue one(no offence),and looked at a silver one(had been hit down one side),and a black one(scuffs on bumpers, and a bit tatty) before i bought the one i did............i just had to spend more than i wanted to in the end,but i am very pleased with the car!!

I was the same; was told that there's no way we're getting a blue one. To be fair, she did want a wagon.
Ended up paying a premium for a black, as they were much rarer back then. Hold on for one, there'll be some more soon. And it's worth waiting for black just for the extra BHP they have.
