An L-Reg WRX will be 236bhp if it has the red/grey seats.
A RB5 will be 215bhp, unless its a WR Sport in which case it will be 240bhp.
If you decat a non WR Sport it would be about 230bhp anyway?

Ive had both cats removed, its got a full magnex stainless, a k+n induction kit. so im guessing it goes better than it did. Allways fancied an rb5 as they didnt make many of them and ive been told they drive spot on. What did it cost you for the ecu upgrade? As thats what i would go for to increase the power. Thanks.

i have got a version 6 sti, in the same colour as the rb5, there are a couple of differences, but from what i have found, it is ment to have 300bhp (jap fuel) standard (from the chassie number)
looks just as good as the rb5, but much faster :O)

But like you, I'd have to make it a bit quicker.
To get to about where I am now with my UK Turbo, costs about £1200.
About £600 all in for a remap, £600 for Sports Cat downpipe, centre de-cat, backbox and panel filter.
Your WRX has probably got about 250ish bhp?
Before my remap with Ninja Sports Cat, Magnex mid decat/oval backbox and JR Panel filter I was running 230bhp so 15bhp up on standard. Tek3 remap released 43bhp more.
