Default More help with MAF

Ok guys and gals
took the maf off last night and gave it a clean with carb cleaner, loads of sh.t came off it , it was replaced and a new 3 ply hks foam fitted , so far she runs nice, now my new foam will stop the sh.t getting in to the in let , my only concern is , i run the recirk valve (standard) that dumps the preasure back down the inlet, could this be responcable for some of the mess in the maf, would i be better venting to air, im not one for dump valves but if it keeps me maf happy should i go this way, car is running 24psi, anyone got an opinion on this ,
Please dont start a debate on dumpvalves as this post is about wots best for my maf , and i do understand that the maf also reads there air going both directions,

Mick

HKS are known to be bad at filtration.

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ little old but worth a look personally i use the Apexi.
If you are running the recirc valve i don't think this would be the cause of the problem is the air is full of cr@p anyway
