Default my first question then?

Easy one I reckon - just wondering about the interior quality of say, 2000+ Imprezas? I know the plastics may not be the best and the aint exactly the best looking dashes in the world [which doesn't worry me one bit], but do they rattle and squeak a lot?

How far behind would you say they are behind Audi [not for design, just bits falling off etc] for example?

Cheers, and sorry if there is a place for this kind of question.

I don't think they're renowned for "bits falling off", just a little plastic-ey lOOking.

I have a dash rattle on an 04. But it's a firm ride. I actually like the cabin in the Newage STi. But when driving i hardly get chance to notice it

I think Subaru used the budget for the engine etc, they must of had a tenner left over for the interiors. But you dont buy one for that do ya

Yeah exactly, I wouldn't be worried about the cheap plastics etc - as long as the whole thing don't start coming loose at some point. And you the guys that know.

My MY00 had no rattles from the dash when I sold it at 40k. As previously said, cheap plastics but mine was well screwed together.

How true, when i first got mine i wanted better speakers because they were crap compared to my Cooper S but after a while i realised that the fun is not the stereo but the engine

My 98 STi with 118000 miles has no rattles at all. Actually that's a little lie. Since I had the ALK fitted I get a little resonance over certain surfaces.

My MY00 has just passed 100k.

No rattles/squeaks of any kind.

As said, not the most inspiring of interiors but its put together well.
