yep they've done it again mate travelled down there to look at a honda crx advertised as mint condition .they said it was a show car .my mate got there and he said it was scratched to f@@k and the inside was battered they also said it had a ice install which was a amp stuck to some mdf floating in the boot .he looked at the scoobs and skylines that they had in and they where all the same .why do they advertise these cars as mint condition and think people will pay top doller for crap. ok rant over just thought i would warn people about these cowboys

 

A look thru any autotrader will reveall 99% off cars advertised are worded as being in mint condition or words to that effect, always wondered what actually happens to all the cars that are not in good condition ??!!

agrea thou it really is very frustrating to travel to view a car only find it to be the complete opposite to what it was described !!!

mate went to view a so called nova gsi once, turned out to be just a standard nova with gsi badges, alloys etc, when asked why he had advertised it as having a sunroof we infact it did not the seller said well I had oce considered having one fitted ???!!!

 

nothing wrong with keeping the good ppl of SN aware of the current situation with that place

I hate wasting trips to look at c*ap cars

 

Search any import car forum and there is never anything good said about this company.

 

Complain to trading standards or something. Try and get compensation for the car being Not as Described?

Or just whinge about them on here.

 

ive looked at 8 imprezas over the last week all of them described as minters etc.........well i aint parted with my money yet !!!

 

I had this with PERRYS in Preston .... when they had a MX5 Montana in.

Rang them up - Salesman said it's MINT - absolutely the best he has ever seen, blah, blah, blah ..... now, it's 500 miles round trip so I wanted more than telephone words.

I got an e-mail with some fuzzy pictures - I zoomed them up, all pixellated and noticed what looked like a big dent (I thought it was probably a reflection or something) but asked anyway.

Answer?

Well yes sir it has a dent there but we will knock it out for you WTF

I hate car salesmen with a vengence, they can take their Duane, Tarquin and Wayne names and shove them!!!!!

 

had a look at an EVO early last year after seeing the nice ad , Oh my god how it was wrong i cant believe i wasted the fuel going.

On a lighter note, saved more money and got a nice/newer scoob instead and am well happy with it.

 

Thanks for this post, I was considering making the 100 mile trip to this place but don't think I will bother now.

General word at the moment seems to be that alot of cars coming in from japan are crap at the moment. I know a guy who buys straight from the port auctions and he says they all crap at the moment, not just scoobs

 

Most had damage of some sort on,was mainly front and rear bumper damage from loading into containers etc

 

How many cars from other importers have minor stuff like this also though?

They just get them sorted before putting them on the forecourt!

there is one dealer that only deals with a hand full of cars called jap performance ltd operating from nesfield garage in bradford that seems to know what he is selling and is selling good looking cars?..but do not quote me on that!!took me a week of searching for my baby..including going to one dealer who advertised with pics of an RA with a big wing and gold mims..only to get there and it was totally standard!!(He claims the owner came back and took the bits off it!!yeah right)
