Well,

I finally managed to get my new toy, http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=58807 and here are my first impressions over the 94 WRX that I used to have:-

Oh, the car has a PPP and decat downpipe...

I have covered some 500 miles in the new car already and here are my first impressions...

1. The car is *much* quicker, as in scary quick... This came as quite a surprise because the WRX was quick but this thing is just brutal!

2. Handling much better than the WRX, is this due to different power distribution/suspension?

3. Noisier! I can set car alarms off now (which is nice)

4. The revisions made (in 97?) make the car feel more coherent imho, although I still have some niggly little 'problems'.

5. Better on fuel? Not sure about this, perhaps because of the bigger tank but it did seem to go further between fills...

6. More comfortable, the seats are really good imho, although the girlfriend doesn't like them... 'too hard' (oh, and the car is too noisy... she thinks it sounds like a chemistry experiment that's gone wrong... heh)

All in all I am a happy chap and pleasantly surprised, more so than I thought I would be...

When i saw you last night, i thought the car was fantastic - I would not change a thing.
I forgot to get you to start it up so that i could hear it - if you're around at the weekends, let me know - I wouldn't say no to being taken out in it to see how quick it is.

I have not found any Scooby meets around the area, however there is a P1 owner in North West London who i know, and he meets up with a 22b and a few others. Maybe we can go and meet them at some point.
If you are free this Saturday, then I would be happy to take you for a drive - I'm going to football in the afternoon, so it would have to be in the morning (not too early)!!

To my knowledge I am the only 22B owner in north west london and I dont recall every meeting up with a P1 owner.

Can you let me know who these people are so that I can hunt them down and kill them for destroying my individuality?

You could nip out east on the A127 this Thursday evening and meet up with 12/14 other scoobs. It's at the Halfway house pub just outside the M25.
