Default classic drift

I've got a 323bhp 1999 classic wagon & it drifts quite easily, the only problem is i cant control it as it understeers like a good un.

How (in detail) do you properly drift a classic wagon?

Cheers

Get the weight over the front wheels whilst making an aggressive direction change.

This will however end up with you over correcting and spinning the other way into a nice tank slapper then into oncoming traffic/a ditch. It's almost a dead cert.

Don't try to learn if you don't have a lot of run-off

Only one way to do it with a classic

1) Lift off power abruptly, or brake firmly on approach to corner
2) Turn in quickly
3) Feel back end let go
4) Panic
5) Over-correct
6) End up in ditch
7) Post message -including pics of your trashed pride and joy- on the internet claiming the accident was due to ice....even though the ambient temp at the time was about 10 degrees!
8) Get torn a new one by members of various forums
9) Hide from the police, who's attention has been attracted by the internet activity

LOL

Spend £2K on fitting DCCD to your wagon.

That should make for some entertaining drifting. Least thats what I'm hoping when I get the dosh to fit it to my UK.

Or for an alternative, take your scooby on an airfield day where its safe to try it....

TRACK DAY CALENDAR

There is even professional tuition available on the day for drift practice.

GTS or GTR? If the latter, then its must be as hard as a scooby.

Understeer and drift don't go into the same sentence, if its understeering its not drifting

Your question is contradicting itself. You're saying it drifts easily but you can't control it, i would say you will be skidding out of control more than drifting

To have fun or drift a subaru you need to be really aggresive, throw it into a turn and power out while still sliding with a 4 wheel drift. The only thing with this is that you need a track and one with a lot of space at that.

I believe timing is everything. You've got to be one with your instincts.
