Default Buying advice

Hi there people, Im fairly new on here and Im currently looking for an impreza wrx.

I have a bit of a dilemma, I've been looking for a bugeye uk car. Gotta be a wrx in the classic subaru blue too. Think they were all built in 01/02.

Ive found two, one is on ebay, the other is on here.

Ill put the links up and see what peoples views are. One is a uk300 and the other is a wrx. Both nice in there own ways. The uk300 has gotta lose the graphics but I would like the thoughts of whoever would like to comment.

Thanks, Marc

I love the wrx. It looks pretty neat. So, what's your final choice?

My advice is never be overwhelmed by shiney paint and some tyre shine. that car looks in fantastic condition and if it drives well and does everything a good subaru should i would snap his arm off if you get it for a good price.

but just go over the car with a fine tooth comb as you would any normal car. its easy to get wrapped up in the looks and appearance and power and miss glaringly big issues.

smoke on boost, tappy engines from cold, very tappy engines once warm, diff whine, clunky gearboxes and boost hesitation and juddery clutches. these are common faults i found when i was car hunting. go over every panel individually looking for accident damage and over spray on inner sills and door shuts and rubbers.

make sure it has a bloody rainforrest worth of paperwork and history. these cars will bite you in the **** pocket if you get one thats been neglected.
good luck..i hope you get it and enjoy it.
