there is too many ****ters running down the value of a good car.

I recon my 93 wrx is worth £7k. I've spent over £25k on the car to get it how I want it.

I'd agree its seen better days but what really gets me is the price difference between UK cars and STIs (Classics)

You cant give X Plate UK cars away (say5K) yet STIs in all their forms and the minters are all close to 10K.

May was well spend the 5 on my UK

I couldn't pay out that sort of money for a car in that state! Iwould have thought it would be worth around £6000 max in that condition and mileage?

I remember when buying my Jap import that there were doubters, saying it would lose value etc. The Jap imports are better cars in every way, so should fetch more. Maybe the price difference is more than it should be, but there should be a difference.

I would be a bit suspicious of any Type R STI that was sub £7K. A decent Type R will cost you £7-8K dependant on condition/miles.

If you have a Brother inlaw that got a minter for £6,300 then it is an absolute steal.

I wouldn`t touch that with a barge pole, if the condition of the bodywork is like that then expect the mechanicals to be in a similar condition as its obviously not been looked after. Thrashed bodywork usually means a thrashed engine.

I dissagree. If it's been parked on the road, then there are plenty of spiteful people out there who'll scratch a car because they can't afford one.

I'd be more concerned about the condition of the interior, if that's bad then it's a reflection on the owner.

Might've been true last year ...but 2007 means V3's can now come in avoiding the required model report
