Your wife obviously has good taste and as you say, they're quite rare.

I've had mine since November and still have a smile on my face (WR Blue with 330bhp)

Default Forester Sti

Hi I have a Forester Sti and loving it. I have had mine for a couple of months now. Just had the power pushed up to 330bhp and is like having a new car all over again. My brother also has one, the biggest debate we have is whether his black one is faster than my blue one (he wishes)

It's a well known fact that WR Blue paint is more aero dynamic and WR Blue cars are therefore faster

You have to post up pics though.

Exactly my thoughts!! black also being a dark colour will be heavier !! he is happy as his is 4.1 bhp more than mine at mo as mine is newer. I will post some pics soon.

Maybe, but the blacks have lighter panels.

And they absorb the light instead of having to push it out of the way, so less drag...

Dream on, the blacks one's are way cooler , anyway 4.1 hp extra is a massive advantage, and your's is carrying an extra 50kg in dirt.

Hey its not my car people think looks like a taxi.

How many WRC blue taxis have you seen compared to the London BLACK cab ! AND although I carry more rubbish in mine it more than makes up its power with a better driver behind the wheel

Shall we ask your children who's car is faster ? I get comments in the street oh ' wow cool subaru mister' and you get 'your new car looks different' as well as the taxi comments. Anyway this is not the place for you to try and convince yourself you got the right colour, we both know 'wannbe' blue is best suited to impreza's and Saxo's .

Pics were in the New Forest and at Farley Mount near Winchester using a digital camera modified to work in infra-red, so that's why the trees look strange.

When I bought mine from Litchfields we test drove a silver/beige/grey one. Suppose its a matter of opinion. I went there with a black one in mind but saw a blue one and prefered that. Agree about the woman driving/nice car. My teenage sons mates think I am a 'cool mum' for having one

I have a faster black one. STi MY06 from litchfields with performance pack (330/330).

Had it 3 weeks now and loving it, my only whines being a few rattles (think from the cobra alarm wiring around headlining) and the fact that fm expanders for Jap radios are crap

Can be pretty good on fuel with the longer 4/5/6 gearing than the Impreza and is much more subtle without the skirts/whale tale spoilers.

Have only seen 1 other one in Aberdeen (WR Blue one) so very rare up here. It gets more looks from folks in the know than my old car (Impreza).

It's fantastic around B-roads up here, major grunt, feels like it needs a 7th and 8th gear I love it.

Avalyn.

I have a MY07 brother has a slower black MY06 both from Litchfields. We have both changed the head units on the stereo as it was pretty awful, also have little squeeks and rattles but if you drive faster the noise soon drowns them out! I had to 'run' mine in for a 1000 miles before I took it back up to Powerstation for its performance upgrade which was done a couple of weeks ago, now it flies ! doesnt seem to be much difference between the MY07/06 other than mine has a dodgy fog light switch ! Loving it

Could you import one of these yourself? Any idea how much a 2004 with low miles would cost to get here?

Not sure about doing it yourself, it had to go through loads of checks and be adapted for UK use through SVA centre, maybe chat with Mr Litchfield?

I know I've been in there and seen them there very nice, couldn't believe the price(very cheap) that’s why I wondered how cheap they are in Japan. Didn't have any black ones though. Could someone with a Black one post a pic.
