Default Texaco Havoline Semi Synthetic 10w-40 Engine Oil

Hi Guys,

What are your views on the Texaco Havoline Semi Synthetic Oil 10w-40?

Have any of you used this?

Asda seem to have it on quite cheap, £4 for 1 Litre and £14 for 5 Litres.

I know it is cheap in price but by no means would I say it is a crap or cheap quality oil, as Texaco Havoline are heavily involved with most forms of motorsport in the USA.

I've just bought a litre for normal top up purposes.

Holdcroft (when they used to be in widnes) use that for normal servicing. So mine had it in from 1k till the 12month service last month. Obviously there are better oils but for a standard car used normally on the road it will be fine.

Tony.
