Default Early Classic Speedo & Clocks

I'm guessing the 94/95 Classic was cable driven, not electronic. Could someone please confirm this.

not sure what year the electronic speedo came into force but i spent the day looking for the speed sensor in my car (had a speed sensor error code ) and it aint got one
