Default Good Importer?

Anyone know a jap import place that they would actively reccommend? I had a mare with my last import car, bad service, waranty wrangles, undeclared damage etc etc.. So I want somewhere people swear by.

Basically I've been looking for an STI V5+ Wagon, fairly standard in any colour but white for the last couple of weeks, and there is very little out there. Starting to think that getting an import company to source me one is a viable option.

Any views / comments appreciated

You seem to be under the impression that Japan is awash with them; it isnt.

Have you tried Litchfield Imports?

Whilst I can not vouch for them in ultimate terms because I was forced to pull out of a new car, nothing seemed to phase Iain Litchhfield and he was a constant source of help and information in getting to the right choice. Their warranty seems to be excellent too.

I wasn't insinuating that it's awash, it's just another avenue of investigation. If I look in half a dozen places I'm more likely to find it aren't I

So, does anyone know a reliable, trustworthy importer that they are prepared to reccommend ?

Thanks But 7.5k for a wagon, although possibly justified in this case, is a little more than I want to pay!

Looking for your average, 60k - 70k model, around 1998, probably between 5-6 grand

As for PCM, I've sent them a mail, cheers for the headsup

I too have been keeping my eye out for a MY99 or MY00 Wagon, preferably an Sti. I even test drove the Black Sti v5 but it sold (for a steal) before I made a firm offer

I suspect an imported STi Wagon would need the Model Report which as far as I can tell is not available for the Wagon, indeed it would seem only 4 door Sti's are covered. I will speak to Newera when I get around to it about how correct I am in this assumption.

Hoping a good WRX or STi comes up sometime in the next few months... so I have something to keep the Type R company.

Miguel at Newera confirmed my suspicion that the MY99 & MY00 Sti Wagons are not currently available for import due to a lack of Model Report... damned ESVA testing...

Just waiting on the right Sti Wagon to come up for sale now...
