Q: i own both a sti v4 wagon manual with 320bhp 0-60 aprox 4.6 secs and also a zxr 900 kawasaki the scooby hasnt got a prayer of keepin up with the bike apart from in the twisty bits car looks well though
A: Hello, This car no probs with keeping up most big bikes from standing starts (depends on rider skill as well) - too much power early doors on big bikes & you can be on the deck. The reason why this car is so quick is that there is NO turbo lag due to auto box & also the way the previous owner had it set up. It was set up by Alan Geofrey tuning (Subaru rally driver & very well known for his expertise in tuning Subaru cars). It is set up for loads of early torque therefore offering tons of grip - feels very 'tight' to drive like a solid Beamer - this car though, would not cope with new Sti/P1/even medium sized bikes (say Bandits) or big german V8 once they found their stride/mid to top end but early doors nothing has ever got near it. However, fastest car i have ever seen was a Mercedes Benz AMG55 (500BHP)& - left my old Sti (240BHP) for dead - I overtook it at 125 - it was up my exhaust & past me like i was stood still & fairly sprinted away into the distance in seconds - how embarassing but respect!! Now I really would like one of those but have not got a spare thirty grand for a second hand one!! Regards, Paul
