This may not be in the right forum but I couldn't work out which one to put it in so..
The engine on my 2001 WRX died last week and the garage reckons it may need a new engine (after only 95K) but won't know for sure until tomorrow.
Any forum members able to recommend a good supplier of 2nd hand engines (good breakers yard for ex) and anyone who would be willing and capable of fitting a new engine (and associated new clutch etc) for a good price as I am not certain my garage chap will want to do it. I have seen ads for companies who say they'll collect and rebuild but would like recommendations from fellow Scooby members.
Any help or guidance gratefully appreciated as I can't afford a new car at this stage...

Yes I may be jumping the gun in that I don't know yet what the exact problem is but thought I ought to do my homework now before I get the bad news. He did say it sounded like the bottom end might have gone but he'll let me know tomorrow
