What a hideous looking car.

Totally horrendous styling, they have lost it I am afraid.
Glad I moved on

I take it you don't read the other threads much then. this new car has been discussed in at least 10 now. yes its gross. yes it looks like a kia rio. and yes..i'd still drive one over your audi (ok..maybe not)

And we get the same whiny posts every time they launch a new car.
And then 6 months later everyones buying one and saying well I hated it but it's growing on me......
So come on guys be positive. The hatchback shape will apparently be good for the WRC. If you believe the blurb the chassis materials and construction means it's both stiffer and lighter than previous models which must be a good thing. The interior isn't made of 1950's bakelite.
Once the STi's out then I'll be seriously considering one.

The hatchback marketplace is feircely competitive I am afraid so the new car will be outclassed by the likes of the Focus ST (more power) Astra VXR (better looks, questionable traction off the line and luncheon meat badge) the Golf GTI (classless piece of kit fast and very desirable) Golf R32 (see Golf GTI but with a trifle less image) Audi S3 (the dogs nuts in this sector).
Listen to Blutes and stay well clear of the new Imp
