whats the most reliable
Impreza. I have a budget of 8k and im after an Impreza. Problem is im not to sure what to buy. I will be very happy with 240-260bhp so it dosnt have to be the most powerful. I just want one thats reliable as ive heard horror storys about a few different variants.

They are all reliable as long as they are well maintained and run on the correct fuel rating for that car 
In your price bracket though, you should be able to pick up a UK MY00 PPP'd car, that has about 250bhp

i really like the type r but thats the one ive heard the storys about. I live in Northern Ireland and the highest fuel i can get is 97-98 ron...Would this be a problem?
