He does have a damn fine point. I clean my car infrequently, but I do enjoy the result (its such a change). One polish a year, gorp at the car for a bit and then enjoy it

maybe some of us that keep are cars clean have a car worth looking after!if we want to sell it at any point it maybe it will be worth a bit more than a dog thats never been looked after! and just maybe some people including myself take pride in having a nice looking scooby! so **** of from me too

Constant detailing is a bit **** of course. But there's nothing wrong with taking pride in your car - a regular wash and the occasional 'proper clean'.

Personally my Impreza works hard and is driven every day, but I always feel better about it enjoy the car more when its clean. And of course we all know a clean car has at least 20 more horses and half a second off its 0-60. Psychological you say?!.....Nah, surely not
