Personally,I very much dislike the term 'scooby'..I think it's lame, chavy, conjures up entirely the wrong image and to my mind demeans the Marque in general as a vehicle to be proud to own.
If I've done this correctly a poll should appear.Simply asking a Yes or No question...for I fear I may be on a one man crusade here

Personally i think thats a tough question, when i talk to my friends i refer to my car as a scooby, if i talk to other people i say subaru, i can understand where your coming from, but it honestly does not bother me that much.

I don't think the name Scooby demeans the car at all.. In fact, most people who don't own a Subaru won't know what it means anyway. The number of poeple who've given me a blank look when I tell them I drive a Scooby.. I think it's more of an inside/car enthusiast term.
Either way, I think it sounds cool.

Don't have any problem with it (sorry Elmer ).
Did use the word Scooby when talking to my sister to my sis earlier today, but by the time I'd expained it I wished I hadn't !

very rarely refer to mine as a subaru, impreza, or scooby. usually its "im popping out/going bla bla... etc in the SCOOB.
if im talking to some dumb f*ck bird though, i will boggle her with the term "my99 uk turbo 2000 subaru impreza"
andy
p.s. mrs calls them subarus though, never scoobys so she must be posher than me

The Scoob , or The Impreza , very rarely do I say Scooby & only ever Subaru Impreza to people who wouldn't know what the hell a Scoob was ! then again they often don't know what an Impreza is.
