Default Disconnected Speedo cable cause engine not to start?

Hi I disconnected my Speedo cable to change my dials when I have put the car all back together the car will not start? It turns over fine but just will not fire. It will start if you spray carb cleaner in the air filter though?

Please help!

Mike

My '95 ran fine for a week without it's speedo cable ...albeit in 'limp' mode

are you sure you haven't dislodged something else?
