Default Car maped with Blitz Nur Spec R question

Well, I done EcuTek remap. Mods are Kakumei downpipe with sports cat, Blitz Nur Spec R and sports panel filter. Car is maped without bung (silencer) in backbox, so question is, what is diference with silencer in and is it safe for my motor to drive sometimes with it? Thanks

I am no expert but a quality manufacturer like Blitz would not make an exhaust/bung if it had the potential to cause problems when fitted.

Anyway........who needs bungs

on mine, i had it mapped with the bung out, with it in, it does not make full boost that it was mapped on.

bung in is fast, bung out even faster ;-)

I asked this question about the bung for my Scoobyclinic exhaust. Adam said I'd lose a bit of power but that it was safe to rag it. I asked because of possible noise limit demands at Elvington, in the end I didn't have to (phew). SC did a test with a bung a while ago and the car lost 20 bhp.

I don't mind for few bhp less or more (well, less with bung in). Only, is it safe because of more backpresure with bung in and changes of some parameters , different from ones maped in ECU.

Well I was warned that the bung in will choke the engine as the car is mapped for the bore of exhaust 64mm or 75mm etc...

This is of course only if you give it plenty of right foot
