Default PPP @ PROSPORT.

Had the 10k service & PPP fitted at Prosport today! (06 STI type UK)

What a transformation, it's like having a totally different car!

After all the rumours that the PPP's were'nt making the book figures, I was pleasantly surprised to come away with this graph!

327 bhp (240kW) / 5250 RPM and 366 Ibft (496 Nm) / 3670 RPM.

Big thanks to Pete & Claire for the usual top quality service!

Is this Prosport in Stockport

If so a certain few WR1's were ranging from 330 to 345 bhp at a rr day last year so dont read to much into the accuracy !

Prosports rollers have been proven to be accurate with people getting 3-4 bhp difference at different rolling road days there

They are very professional and i trust them. That is why my STi is there now being re-mapped

The PPP was £1700 including vat & fitting.

It comprises of a backbox, the centre cat is replaced with a straight pipe, uprated fuel pump and the ecu is swapped on an exchange basis.

The STI should be like this straight out the box, shame you have pay the extra for the pleasure!

WR1 imposter has a point
Prosport roller "can " read abit high , but so does some others
but their service in very good and no "bullsh*t"
I always go there (even though A Subaru franchise garage is only 3 minute away from me )

Have I attacked Prosports service ...NO

Just quoted the rollers may be a little out !
As are most !

For the record I made 392bhp/372lbft, at Prosport
the original figures were 376bhp/368lbft

So I got better figures for the pub

I watched a Honda Type R pull book figures, nothing wrong with the numbers their rollers come out with.

Well there was when it was my car, made me so upset my PPP had somehow lost all its ponies.

Some are but they are jap imports

WR 1mposter,
Pete does have those rollers recalibrated every 6 months and i ran my old car there, ran within a few bhp of previous runs (even after the rollers were recalibrated inc when the new ones went in) so I think they are pretty accurate
Nice to see your car made good figures though but we all know that its on the road where it all counts and not on some rollers

Joggerboy - just out of interest, how does the PPP affect fuel consumption?

Yes, yes, I know, it's about performance not counting pennies, but would like to know what effect the PPP has on consumption.

According to the figures comparing a standard STi and the RB320 the combined figures are 25.9 and 26.4 respectively which appears strange.

The PPP improves fuel economy slightly, though it goes down again when you start to give the car some stick

There is an improvement in fuel economy which seems abit strange considering the power gains, not complaining though!

As Tony say's, put your foot down and the economy side soon goes away!

I'm sure with all the pennies saved with the better fuel consumption the PPP should pay itself off after maybe 10 years?

petes been working on scoobys for years.much longer than some rip off garages i could mention.
oli at roger clarke motorsport are the same ,no nonsense servicing and bags of experience.
even if petes dynos are out its not his fault.he certainly puts smiles on peoples faces.

I've no idea mate The one on the back was off Ebay and IMO looks better than the pink one on a black car

Mine will be getting sorted on monday as Pete discovered that the sender switch on top of the gearbox wasn't working properly. He's ordered me a new one and it will be here monday morning. He said it could have been bypassed but Pete being a perfectionist wanted it doing properly. That is the exact reason why i wont take my car anywhere else

well when a certain club did a day there, all his usual suspects had problems
needless to say they booked it straight to be sorted

Like i said the rollers were slightly out but on a plus side

I know people who use prosport and have said they offer good service

I don't use them cos I live 330 miles away

But I wish there was someone more local to me then the car supermarket that now sell scoobs

Consists of blue intercooler piping with prodrive on, a prodrive backbox, exhaust system from the cat back, decat centre section, ecu.
Will also have a certificate saying that the car had the PPP fitted, give a date and the mileage that it was fitted at (official paperwork).
Power should be up from 215bhp to 237bhp (unleaded) or about 250bhp (super unleaded which its mapped for) and a nice dollop of torque
