New Impreza, Not a disaster??.
I have been having a chat with a friend who lives with someone who works at Subaru in japan, and they say that the pic's Auto express printed are not the new impeza but a concept. The real deal is going to be unveiled at the American motor show later this year, and will still be a Hatch but looks like the BMW 1 series. Yeah its still not right.
He also says that a wagon and saloon will be available in Japan, but not on general export.
Thats all the info I have.

LOL... the New York motor show was last week. And the car is the same as what the magazine printed, its officially launched now. No ifs, no buts that is what it looks like. Your post is a month too late

I guess you`re right in a way Rabbo. But a car is probably the 2nd biggest financial outlay, apart from a mortgage to many people on here.
I see your point about performance etc, but if people are spending 20k plus it needs to look something like. And from the comments made above they`ve got it wrong. They could have kept the iconic Impreza shape, and renamed this hatch something else. Just my thoughts anyway.

Lets face it the Impreza has never been a looker but this incarnation is truly awful, ok performance precedes looks but surely if your spending 25k then you want something that looks half decent.
If Ford and Vauxhall can do it with the ST and VXR i'm sure Subaru could have done something a bit more special.
hasn't anyone at Subaru got the ***** to stand up to the top managment and say 'sorry but that car looks a crock of s**t?'
Mitsubishi must be rolling about laughing.

Dear god, I hadn't seen that video. It's more hideous than I could possibly have imagined..
I can't believe they'd even consider putting chrome on a WRX, it's unbelievable. The car now looks like an American shopping car... I can't understand how they could go from the Hawkeye (imho one of the best looking impreza's yet) to that heap.

Agree with the above... I thought the incarnations since the blog eye have been slowing improving... But now they've dropped to a whole new level !
Should keep the bodykit manufacturers in business - if anyone buys the car at all that is !
