Default Bloody Evo

Having spent hours polishing the Subaru and feeling very proud of her thought I go for a drive, 10 mins into it a white Evo appears behind me im on a 30 road it looks as if he close enough to sit in my boot. Naturally I accelerate a little to move away he does the same back to square one, I accelerate a little more and it continues.
So I find the local motorway where I know a sitting traffic officer is and test the Evo cut a long storey short after a few minutes on the m/way at what people would not class as suitable speeds I stop accelerating and the evo goes for it, im left gliding behind him watching as the traffic car pulls him over sorry Mr Evo but please dont ruin my quite Saturday

depends if gemma thought he was being a muppet, as tailgating is not big or clever no matter what road you are on or what car and some evo owners think just because there is another japanese car on the raod they should turn that road into a local race track

He was pushing for it, I like performance cars but I dont drive up peoples ***** trying to move them out of the way or drive around looking to race everything, he took his chance the way all performance car drivers do, just this time the police stopped him.

It is a s**** thing to do, but one I have also done. I hate it when people park themselves on my rear seats and just won't leave me alone.

I'm fine for people seeing if I want to play, but when they have their answer that is it. It is time for them to move on and pick one someone else.

The chap who had a go at me found me allowing him to accelerate hard past a hidden speed camera. I'm sure he enjoyed the 100+mph in a 40 picture when he got it.

maybe, but was more than likley just looking for a bit of fun on a proper highway not a side street.lets face it most impreza drivers me included would have been more than happy to oblige.

If someone is driving too close behind you, the correct course of action is to slow down a little to give you more time to react in an emergency, reduce the severity of the potentional reaction or resultant accident, and give the car behind the same benefits.

Only a fool breaks the two second rule, and that applies to what's behind you too. If someone is one second behind then add the missing second (at least) to the front.

I was tought to pull back on my driving lessons but in real life that would of left me touching the car behind, ive already been hit in the side of a previous car as someone misjudged there driving. Im cautious but as with anyone who drives a performance car they have there moments.

I don't see what's wrong with pulling over to an absolute crawl and waving them past.

each driver takes there risks and points thats the law of the road, like all ive had my moments and when someone slows down it just gives the person behind a reason to over take on the wrong side of the road we all know its dangerous, tbh my slight acceration would be the same for any car driving up my **** in an attemt to stop some fool overtaking recklessly

How will she sleep at night

At the end of the day, it was Gemmas call, she was put in that situation by the driving standards of someone else, and if another driver, (whatever the make) pi**ed me off enough perhaps I would have done something similar ?

Its times like that when a flamer kit comes in handy, one press of the red button and they arent on your tail for long not that i need a flamer kit to see off an evo the right pedal normally loses them for good

am i missing something here.ive read your first statement a few times now and from the way i read it he never tried to overtake on the other side of the road.even tho its a perfectley legitamate thing to do as long as you have plenty of room.he never overtook you until you were on the motorway.sorry gemma but i think you ought to sell the impreza and get yourself a nice rover metro

I personally applaudde Gemma for her actions. Another reckless moron with the points they deserve (hopefully a ban).

Never sit so close that it eliminates your thinking time to stop... because even though your car can stop much faster than most, the chances are you cant process the choice before you make the action.

I would do the same... regardless of marque and even if it was another member from here quite happyly.

Bullsh*t. In reallity he was probably driving like a *** (which i don't condone) and left you for dead, and you probably thought "i wish the police were up ahead to bust that ******".
Sorry but iv'e wished that on others before myself and i bet most on here have too, but in reality it never happens so i don't belive you. I hope it did actually happen but i doubt it myself. All IMO of course

What's wrong with just a quick 2 taps on the brake pedal?

they soon get the message, if they don't just slow down even more.
