Scooby owner once again :D
Well, after a long 5 hour drive I've finally got back home with my turbo 2000 and I am very happy with it
I used to have a blobeye sti, and sold it at the time as I couldn't afford to run it anymore well now I have the money available I'm so glad to be back in 4wd turbo heaven
It drove really, really well on the way back and was alot faster than I was expecting...208 bhp they are supposed to have but it felt alot faster than my 270bhp blobeye sti ever did
The car has done alot of miles, and I got a really good deal on it - £2,500 can't be bad for a one owner fully subaru serviced turbo 2000 can it?
I bought this car as a project and through some research i'm planning to get it to 330bhp once I sell my supra aerotop, so far on the list is the following:
- 18" Gold or black alloys - havn't yet decided what will go best with the mica green.
- Clear indicators
- Front splitter, side skirts and rear fenders color coded
- Newage Sti spoiler
- Newage Bonnet scoop + P1 vents
- Afterburner rear lights
- Morette headlamps
- Green mudflaps (if possible, havn't seen them)
- Uprated Air filter
- Ninja sports cat downpipe, de cat centre and backbox
- Uprated fuel pump
- Better turbo
- Bigger injectors
- Remap
- Better suspension
Here are a few pics, apologies for the lack of light; picked the car up and had to take a few..
I will be posting pics and updates of a 'work in progress' project and I'm sure i'll be asking plenty of questions too, it's good to be back

Dont do that to it mate please!, if you have to change the rear lights put some sti versions on there.
they look terrible with anything other that standard versions.
Still, welcome back to impreza ownership... i'm back now to been just over a week with new car, been diesel since aug06... i've done the opposite of you..
Classic to blob sti.
My classic was 270bhp and this STI i've got now would leave it for dead.

Good choice
I would say black wheels would look better than gold with green?
You need to get wheels and zorst as quick as you can
Good price - don't see many below £3.5k.
Mileage isn't really a problem if its been looked after. Both my imprezas have had over 100k, and haven't really had any problems with either. However both mine had done a load of motorway miles.

Gold wheels on a green car is cool!!
So long as the wheels are "right" for the colour.......example.........(but only 17") Speedline ST2's.
I put a set of 18" gold Prodrive P1 alloys on my green wagon and it completely ruined the handling, switched back to the 17" ST2's and it was transformed.
Looked good with either set on though!!

Yeh the great thing is, the car has done mostly motorway miles - the one owner from new drived it 200 miles a day to and from work when his missus had the diesel so it's a right bargain at £2,500!
It's done 97k miles, and needs a few niggly things sorting like loose skirts, new carpet for the boot and i'm taking it to a local specialist next thu to have it fully looked over but it drives fine
I'm now in two minds what colour and style of alloy wheels to get - both gold and black would go well IMO and i'm liking the 5 spoke and 6 spoke styles yeh i'll probably get 17's as I don't want to screw the handling.

Plenty of piccies!! Lots of gold - bling bling

When I bought my DBM last year, it had the standard wheels in gold - not fussed, changed to silver OZs.
However, on green it looks a lot better - on that pic I posted above, those Speedline ST2s look good. It might be because I used to have them on my old WRX

and I am glad you have seen the light regarding STi lights
They are the daddies. Normally sell on here for about £160-180, and well worth it. Just make sure you seal them in properly as mine leak at the mo, and have to be re-done!!

Nice tidy scoob you got there STiX, Yeh gold goes with mica green really well and i'm really tempted with yellow or gold decals too.
Yeh Sti lights are alot more 'grown up' and like you said, look the biz

Yes I really regret selling that silver WRX, lost a lot of cash swapping to a bike then back to my current blue UK Turbo.
It was blinking near as damn it mint.
However, the newer interiors are much much better and my car is now 5 years newer with about the same power/performance as before so result in the end, albeit an expensive one!!
I am not a big fan of decals, but again on some cars/colours they look really good.
But do you have a couple of subtle ones, or go the whole hog and rally slag it big time

Some of those mods sound a bit of a concoction.
Welcome back to the fold though

Not if they make ME happy, at the end of the day it's MY money i'm spending I agree with the afterburner rear lights maybe the graphics arn't to your taste but there is nothing wrong with having an sti spoiler or morette headlights is there?

I am not a fan of some of the other ideas, although each to their own?
I think morettes can look pretty good.
But I didn't notice the Newage bonnet scoop before - really don't like the STi ones on a classic, far too big IMO?

I have convinced Bakerboy to go STI rears, as I really don't like Afterburners. He also I think has decided on black mudflaps?

-Newage scoop looks far to big and doesn't suit classic lines at all
-Morettes will really date the look of your car.
They're very 90's escort cosworth
-Green mudflaps?! WTF?!
-Graphics?
Why would you want to advertise others products unless your being paid?
-I just don't like big spoilers. They're just so 'look at me!'
-Afterburners are just wrong
All IMHO and you must feel free to make your car look as bad as you like
