How do the official Subaru roof bars fit to a MY07 saloon?
Do they fit round the roof/door gap or do they fit into the roof channel that's got the black plastic runner in it?
If the latter, how do they fit and how easy are they to fit?

 

They fit into the roof channel, You have to take off the plastic strip in the roof channel, then put some small clips onto the mount points, these stay on all the time, only poke out by 3 or 4 mmm. And then when the roof rack sits in the gutter, it locks to ther clips. I would get something to take the sharp edges off the roof rack tape or something, as when I took my gutter strips off, it had taken some of the paint off. But that was after nearly 5 yrs use.
