Default Final Results

Ok people, for those of you that maybe interested, the car is now finished, well for now.
Decided to go for the jap spec 6 speed in the end, PPG lightened fly and exedy racing organic clutch.
Bob finished the mapping last week and here are the results.
Torque is down apparently due to the nature of the APS bov which I maybe swayed to change at somepoint soon.

Spec
IHI VF34 Turbo
APS Top Mount Intercooler
APS BOV
Green Group N Panel Filter
H & S Down-pipe With Fast Flow Cat
Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust System
Fuelab Fuel Pressure Regulator
3 Port Boost Solonoid
API Cam Pulleys
Version 8 STI 6 Speed Gearbox Conversion
BR Developments EcuTek Map

Figures from mapping graphs.

Sector times were …

30-50 2.2s
40-60 1.9 s

Gear 4

338bhp. 322 ft lbs
Fuel V Power
Allowing 22% transmission loss
Air temp 21 deg C

It's a Jap 6 speed box, so probably like 3rd gear for a UK 5 speed.

Transmission loss equates to a Dyno Dynamics Rolling road (which is actualy about 21.8% in Shoot_44 mode).

Sector times are straight from the datalogging software.

cheers

Yes mate that was me
Pretty pleased with the turbo mate, considering I stayed with the top mount i'm really happy with the results. The spool up is marginaly quicker, but its much more aggressive and pulls harder. 3rd gear really is alot of fun as you hit boost.
I'd origionly aimed for somewhere over 300 bhp, wanted the mid range power, but didnt want to lose acceleration by increasing lag which is often a problem with big turbos.
The VF34 seemed the ideal candidate, it would get the results I wanted and really does hit hard in mid range. Using the Jap spec 6 speed box makes driving in low gears alot of fun. Even in 5th the car still pulls well and 6th seems endless. Top end has definately increased by a long way.
Bobs really very good at what he does, the car runs so much better, I'd even say the fuel consumption has dropped.
My only regrets are the uprated top mount, I should have, and may still replace it with a good front mount. Bob has also advised me that by either using the oem dump valve or a baily recirculating valve the torque could be inceased. The one I am using apparently gives way.

Thanks
Rob
