04 STI Rear Brakes Question

I went to look at an 04 STI yesterday and noticed that the rear brakes were grooved, but the fronts weren't. Is this standard? Seems a bit weird if it is!

Nope not standard M8, after market rear discs

they may have had a front kit fitted as well but took them off to sell the car , seems a bit strange by having grooved rears only.
