There are some real bargains to be had on US ebay due to the high exchange rate, looking at this exhaust
eBay Motors: SUBARU WRX/STI 02-05 SKUNK2 SKUNK 2 CATBACK EXHAUST (item 260111908204 end time Apr-30-07 06:38:43 PDT)
Even with shipping I think you'd be looking at less than £300!
Would this fit directly to a UK car or are the Scoobs they sell in the US different

Just watch out for import taxes,I ordered a horsehide schott jacket and paid £80 import duty.
Having said that I ordered A porter cable and polishing kit from Autopia in the usa and didn't pay a penny in taxes and it arrived within 7 days

Just had a nightmare from the US. Bought some stuff, took over 4 weeks, got stopped by customs, wrong part came, now company ignoring emails. Great group buy on RB320!!!!!
Mind you. If you get it ticked as Merchandise, with no value and no receipt in the box, you'll only get £24 charge by customs for handling, if stopped.

Taxes etc can be a pain.
I work for Fedex, and bought $2000 worth of snowboarding gear in Jan. All sent to a friend who forwarded it on my discount account.
Another friend did the same with $1100 worth, also via my account.
Due to the way the items were packed, and declared I paid £35 shipping, no taxes.
My friend paid £90 shipping and £270 taxes. Cancelling out the entire saving all bar a few quid.
With regards to "guarenteed" duty costs... dont believe it too much. The UK C&E have the right to value the item themselves and tax based on that. You will also be taxed on the shipping cost too.
Also the "declared" cost is the "insured" cost. Declare it as $50 and thats the max you will be insured for.

If so, I got my Defi stuff in the same group buy about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. I did get charged £25 (£12 for customs & £13 for parcelforce handling) though.

Always annoying when you get charged so much for "handling" I could have sworn thats what P&P was for lol.
They charge you that for paying your D&T's on your behalf!
£13 for lending you £12 for a couple of hours, all to make THEIR handling of the package smoother, and so they dont have to hold it and store it til you pay.
ParcelFarce forgot to attempt delivering a bulk purchase of Rockford Fosgate speakers to me. No notification that they had arrived in the UK. Was only me chasing it up that pushed them into releasing them and charging me £54 handling fees!

The package got sent, then returned, then re-sent. They sent me a pod which i didn't want and fuel pressure instead of oil pressure.
I have been sent several emails over the last two weeks, to two email accounts. No reply!!
Got the money and ran. Avoid EDO Performance.
Great contact until you've paid!!
