Default getting paint work, how do i look after it

Getting my bonnet and front bumper resprayed as the stone chips are annoying me. Does anyone know how long i have to wait before i can add a coat of wax over it to protect it.

I had a door sprayed on a car 3 years ago and was advised to leave it for a week. You'll need more than wax to keep those stonechips away!!!

what should i use. I usually use a good polish and then protect that with black fire wet diamond.

Really vague comment here but I know there are companies
that can cover the front of motorbikes with a robust cling film
like sheet. I'm sure that similar companies exist to cater for cars.
Sorry i can't give you names but I do know they are out there,
only thing is it isn't too cheap to get done.
Craig.

The film is called Armourfend, and is the only way of preventing stonechips.

For the front bumper it costs about £350 fitted, so not cheap.

However, it is worth it IMHO for the inevitable stonechips which will appear on your way home from the paintshop...

There is also ventureshield or something like that and 3M do a film protection as well. Halfords I here even supply kits (but not sure how good they are)
